Some of the tings that people can do to protect themselves from intrusion or attacks is to use a software for virus, Adware and Malware protection. Next, they can use authenticated passwords to give access to their computers, or they can use a security based software that will protect the system with multiple security applications. Last, people can use the firewall to black ,malicious sites and application from accessing the internal definitions of the computer.

Windows firewall, is a software component that is used to firewall packet filtering. This tool helps to screen hackers and viruses that target the computer while they are on the internet, and does not give then access to the system without your permission. By turning this on, the computer will be protected from the internet, and viruses that thrive on computers with the windows firewall option turned off.

The windows firewall tool can be found and is installed in the computers control panel, and when this is turned on the computer will begin to detect attacks and intrusions from malicious sites and software that can destroy the computer internally. The firewall acts as a barrier, that allows sites and information to pass through only if they pass the authentication process, If they do not pass, it immediately blocks them, and records them, then quarantines them, so that you can see where the attack came from and the name of the attacker or virus, this is how it handles all the problems that come through the system. When you download from some sites, windows firewall block certain items and downloads because, they cannot pass the authentication process, or they may harm the computer and the packet is marked with a caution sign and ask if you want to keep, or throw away the download, or site address. This is how it prevents the computer from attacks along with other security software, but this is the first needed action protecting your PC the windows firewall.

The types of attacks that the computer mitigates are Worm attacks, Trojan attacks, Pop up attacks, Adware attacks, and Viruses that scale the internet computer users and their internal functions. This tool will protect the system from malicious attacks that cause the PC to break down, run slow and sluggish, and perform poorly. This barrier mitigates the intrusion by using the barrier as a scanner that scans the actual intruder to see if they are authentic or if they will harm the computer, meaning they are malicious and may cause many problems the minute you use them, like Adware, and browser add add-ons. This is how the firewall mitigates the intruders by scanning them and tossing them out immediately, to stop them from harming you and your computer.
