The simple autosomal trait that I have inherited, is my brown eyes, and it's an autosomal dominant trait. The trait was inherited from my two parents. My mother has brown eyes, and my father has blue eyes. Dark Brown eyes are dominant over Blue and Gray eyes. This dominant trait is known as the simple gene trait, and is made with a simple gene that has 2 alleles. This means that the result can be in any two forms, with no results that are intermediate. This is what you would call a Mendelian inheritance that I have.

Now, brown eyes are dominant over all, and blue is recessive, and green is dominant and blue is recessive no matter what. In this chart below I will express how the trait for my brown eyes was inherited from my parents, and how it will be exhibited throughout the family. In my family the gene for my eye color, which is brown, is inherited from my mother, and is stronger than the blue colored eyes of my father, because brown is dominant over blue. For each gene we have in eye color, we inherit 2 genes; one from mother, and one from father. In the chart below, I will exhibit how the gene is passed throughout the family and how I became to have brown eyes.
